Ultrasound Services
Our advanced Ultrasound imaging uses high-frequency sound waves—rather than radiation—to produce real-time, dynamic images of the body’s soft tissues and organs. This safe and versatile “live-action” technology allows our team to observe blood flow, organ movement, and structural integrity with exceptional detail.
When It’s Used: Ultrasound is a primary tool for monitoring fetal development during pregnancy, assessing cardiovascular health (Echocardiograms), evaluating the thyroid and abdominal organs, and diagnosing conditions in the gallbladder, kidneys, and liver. It is also indispensable for performing image-guided biopsies and checking for vascular issues like deep vein thrombosis (DVT).
The BHMI Advantage: At Beverly Hills Medical Imaging (BHMI), we use the latest multi-dimensional ultrasound technology to provide superior image clarity. Our highly skilled sonographers and radiologists prioritize patient comfort while delivering the precise, real-time data necessary for early detection and personalized treatment planning.

What is Ultrasound Scan?
Diagnostic ultrasound (sonography) uses sound waves to visualize organs, blood flow, and soft tissues. It is safe, non-invasive, and does not expose patients to ionizing radiation, making it suitable for obstetric imaging, vascular studies, and many other clinical applications.
Available CT Exams
We offer a comprehensive suite of CT studies on our scanner, including:
– Abdominal ultrasound — liver, gallbladder, kidneys, pancreas.
– Obstetric ultrasound — pregnancy and fetal monitoring.
– Pelvic ultrasound — gynecologic evaluation.
– Vascular duplex — carotid, renal, and extremity vessels.
– Musculoskeletal ultrasound — tendons, joints, and soft tissue.
Patient Preparation
– Some abdominal or pelvic exams may require fasting or a full bladder; instructions will be provided with your appointment.
– Wear comfortable clothing and remove jewelry from the area of interest.
– No special preparation is typically required for vascular or musculoskeletal studies.
Reports & Turnaround
CT exams are interpreted by our board-certified radiologists. Final reports are typically sent to the referring physician within 48 hours. Critical or urgent findings are communicated immediately to the ordering provider.
